How to join the AGM teams meeting!

In order to join the AGM meeting on the 25th June at 6pm (CEST) or 5pm (BST) you will need to ensure Microsoft Teams is downloaded this can be done on a desktop computer/laptop (this will be the work or schools version), a smart phone such as iPhones or Samsung’s (and more). There is a link below to go to the Teams download page, along with a link to the teams meeting itself.

Agenda

1. Introduction and welcome
2. Apologies for absence
3. To approve the minutes of the last Annual General Meeting in 2022.
4. Governance topics
   1. Adopt the model constitution from Policy, Organisation and Rules.
   2. Note the District’s financial year (1 January – 31 December)
   3. Agree the number of members that may be elected to the Trustee Board (up to 6)
   4. Agree the quorum for each of the District Scout Council (including this AGM), meetings of the District Trustee Board, meetings of any sub-committees (We propose adopting the Charity Commission Good Practice recommendation (one third of total trustees plus one))
5. Review of the previous year
   1. The District Commissioner’s review of Scouting in Southern Europe (Report will be provided in the AGM Pack to be issued on 16 June 2023)
   2. To receive and consider the Annual Report of the District Trustee Board including the annual Statement of the Accounts (to be issued in the AGM Pack on 16 June 2023)
6. Making appointments
   1. To approve the District Commissioner’s nomination of the District Chair
   2. Election of the District Secretary
   3. Election of the District Treasurer
   4. Elections of members to the District Trustee Board
   5. To approve the District Commissioner’s nominations to the District Trustee Board
   6. To appoint the Scrutineer / Independent Examiner / Auditor
   7. To nominate representatives of the District Scout Council to represent the District on the County Scout Council
7. Close of formal AGM

1. Comments by UK Chief Commissioner, Area President and/or Area Commissioner or their representative if present at the AGM
2. Awards and Commendations
