1st Bougival welcomed Jim and Pete, two Chelsea Pensioners, for Remembrance Day this year. Alongside our friends from 1st Maisons-Laffitte and the Paris Explorers, our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts were able to hear about their careers in the Royal Engineers including several overseas engagements, and even about them being Scouts during the Second World War. There was also plenty of time for questions and selfies!

Though numbers were extremely limited this year some of our Scouts were also able to meet Jim and Pete again the next day at the French Armed Forces cathedral at Les Invalides in Paris, where we carried our flag alongside those of ex-service people’s organisations from around the Commonwealth.1st BOugiva
