A British Scouting Overseas Virtual Digital Citizen Event to earn Stage One of the badge – Time TBC
About the event!
In order to enable as many young people to take part in achieving the stage one Digital Citizen badge and to help young people be safer on online through fun and engaging activities that encourage critical thinking across a broad spectrum of topics. Southern Europe District is putting the offer out to all Scouts and Explorers across British Scouting overseas to take part in some of these activities. Which include how to work out the authenticity of news, how to manage cyber bullying and how to best mitigate other potential online harms in a positive and proactive way.
The event itself will be ran on the 18th March 2023 (9am – UK Time), via zoom using a range of different online tools. Access to a computer or laptop, and possible a phone will be needed.

To ensure that each district within British Scouting Overseas knows who attended the event four sign up forms have been created. Using your district logo below or the button under please fill out the form.
The deadline to sign up is the 31st December 2022 (This might be extended.)
These forms also work for any scout volunteers who are able to help out on the day.
